We have the pleasure to host Dr. Andrew Hedley to demystify and unravel the intricate web of German wine classifications. In addition to being one of the foremost experts on German wine in New Zealand, Andrew Hedley is also the winemaker at Framingham, the man to bring the first pallet of natural wine to our shores and has a PhD in Organic Chemistry.
Eleven benchmark wines across Pinot Noir and Riesling, from Gutswein right up to top Grosses Gewachs bottles have been selected to illustrate the VDP - not just those who follow the rules but also those who break them. We will also host an open-floor session at the end of the tasting for discussion and questions.
