The Wines of SouthWest France

  • Wine Sentience Hub 104 Vivian Street Wellington, Wellington, 6011 New Zealand (map)

The Southwest of France is a fairly unknown and little explored wine region even by wine professionals. Although presented as one large region from the Dordogne in the North, to the Spanish border in the south, you will find here a myriad of wine production pockets, small to medium, each with their own story to tell through wines of distinctive characters.

Join our resident French sommeliere, Sylvaine Novel, on a heartfelt journey back home and discover a region full of colour, originality, and myriad indigenous varieties which make its wines unique and exiting.

We will taste through some truly rare wines from Madiran, Bergerac, Jurançon, Irouléguy, Gaillac and Cahors including the legendary Domaines Arretxea and de Souch. There are limited seats for this as some of these are last available bottles, so book early to avoid missing out - we won’t be able to run this tasting again.
